Yumiko Yoshioka,

 

Dancer, choreographer, teacher, art director
Born in Tokyo, residing in Germany since 1988
In the early seventies and eighties, she was a member of the first Japanese women's Butoh dance company, ARIADONE. 
In 1978, she performed with Ko Murobushi and Carlotta Ikeda in " Le Dernier Eden " (in Paris), a first Butoh performance at theater outside of Japan. From 1988 to 1994, she was an active member of German - Japanese dance theater company " tatoeba - THEATRE DANSE GROTESQUE" with Minako Seki and delta RA'i.
In 1995, Yumiko founded the art-formation group"TEN PEN CHii art labor" with visual artist JoaXhim Manger (Germany) and music composer, Zam Johnson (USA)..
Yumiko researches the interactivity between dance, space and visual art, exploring new zones in body works and performing arts.
Besides international tours throughout Asia, Europe, Oceania and North・ South America, she is an art director of "eX...it ! "(Dance and Butoh Exchange Research Project, since 1995 - present) along with delta RA’ i, in which more than 100 artists and dance students from all over the world join.
Yumiko also collaborates with other company in Italy, Austria and Greece as a choreographer/dancer as well.

Kawamoto came to Tokyo shocked to Butoh as seen on TV at the age of 17.

She learned Hijikata Butoh nine years from Yukio Waguri in asbestos hall of the founder of Butoh Tatsumi Hijikata. The feature of her Butoh is to be transformed and to embody the affair which occurs to a body.

She's often invited to a festival of each country as a dance composer. The method of teaching from which the individuality is drawn out passionately is standard. She's doing the spread activity of Butoh in the Asia entitled "Asia Butoh Tree Project" in recent years.

It's expected to found the Asian Butoh company selected from Asia each country.

Masaki Iwana,

Masaki Iwana was born in Tokyo, Japan in 1945.   

After involvement in the theatre profession, he suddenly began solo dance in 1975 without any master.
Until 1984, he developed experimental solo performances with naked, vertical, and still body for over 150 performances.    In the numerousness of performances, he parallels that of Min Tanaka and Seiji Shimoda.
In 1983, he was invited by Avignon International Theater/Dance Festival in France.  Since then, he has shifted the core of his dance activities to Europe and immigrated to France in 1988.   Touring outside of the mainstream, he had performed in 50 countries and in 200 cities.
He opened his dance studio in South Normandy in France in 1996,

and currently offers the 5 year seminar series called “Eternity”
In 2006, he produced the first theatrical feature film "Vermilion Souls”, 

which won the Grand Prix at Portobelo International Film Festival (UK) 2009, followed by ”A Summer Family"(2010) and ”Princess Betrayal”

(2012).   He completed his fourth film "Charlotte · Susabi" in 2017.
